The Twelve Days of Christmas

rewritten and illustrated

by

Mark Hoppmann

 

     Just in time for Christmas, Twelve Days  is carefully created by the artist in his studio one book at a time.  Each cover is handmade in the artists studio from recycled materials and air dried in the rustic tradition, allowing the textural qualities of the paper to excel.   The original illustrations have been rendered by the artist in india ink using a steel crow quill, then scanned, and output using a inkjet printer onto commercially made recycled papers, before being assembled by hand.  Bound with raffia and placed in an attractive gift box, the book makes a delightful gift.  Since each book is hand made, be sure to order by November 1st to guarantee Christmas delivery..  $30.00 plus shipping and sales tax.

 

    

    As I continue to grow as an artist and complete new work, I often take time to revisit the past and pull work from my "vaults" rotating the work on my site, mixing old with the new.  For those who have visited my website before, you may see work that you thought has long since disappeared into someone else's collection.  Sometimes even I am surprised to find a work that I had not seen for a very long time.   Don't be surprised if you have visited recently, to find a favorite piece "missing".  Feel free to inquire about the status of any of my art.   It's often quite possible the work has disappeared as I rotate my work simply because it's time to give the site a fresh look.....
